Latest Roadtrip

Well I just got back from getting the youngest to his next posting at Ft Lewis. We delivered one car to him and got the red tape taken care of. God I'm glad I'm not in the military. It wasn't bad, but since I've been away form that type of environment for so many years, it's just hilarious at the hoops you have to jump through.

Vehicle is registered to me, but he can get stickers for it if I'm present. If I go to Judge Advocate office I can get a notarized power of attorney so he can get stickers if he has to get a new Military ID (AKA promoted). No problem. I saunter over to that office and fill out the form and ...... No they can't do that because I'm not in the military.

No problem just go over to the UPS store on base and have them notarize the "Power of Attorney" form. So I drive over there, and no problem , BUT the girl that does that will be back in 15 minutes. Now I know that means an hour, so we all go over the Micky D's for lunch. Hour and a half later I drive up to the UPS store and the girl just walks in ahead of me and stamps the document.

God I love being out of those kind of systems.
