Take down 99...

Colt Super
This afternoon, I ran across a .250-3000 Model 99, supposedly built in 1915. It has a carbine length barrel. This dealer wants $600 for it and will ship for $25 plus actual shipping to any other FFL.

I don't know if this is a good price, The bore is very nice, and the rest of the firearm has seen quite a bit of handling wear.

Anyone who might be seriously interested, email me, and I'll pass your info on to the dealer. I know he won't go below $600.

    I have a 1928 Take Down in .303 Savage. I am going to say that in that condition $600 is ALL the money for that one.

    He also has a rifle length .303 Savage with an octagon barrel for $400.

    wth happened to the prices on 99s?
    not THAT long ago my octagon bbl, crescent stocked got an offer of $1000 sight unseen!
    now i see them on the auction side (newer models at least) for $300-$600 and few if any bids!?

    Old 99's in good shape, are going for way over book valu around here. If you can get a 250/3000 in good shape for $600 I'd grab it pronto!!!

    If it's altered in any way, and beat up it isn't worth much only as a shooter.
