If some of the posters who are active here were to run the world, we would still be living in caves and afraid come out if it were a cloudy day. Can't take any kind of chance!! Can't fire a 38 thru a 357 since the gun does not specify such.

I was shootin' .38's through my .357 just the other day... The problem is when you fire .38's through your .357 and then forget to clean the cylinder before firing the .357's... The .38 case is much shorter so there will be powder build-up on the cylinder chamber walls towards the muzzle end, and when you insert the longer .357 case there may be residue between the case and cylinder wall that may cause extraction problems as the case expands and gets wedged in there, thus making reloading time longer and may require the spent cases to be ram-roded out.0 -
