I heard that they finally got sick and tired of OryGun and are looking for a more hospitable state to which to relocate.

My dad bought a 3x9 Leupold back in 1968. A year or couple years ago I got some fogging inside the scope and called them. Expected to have to pay, but all I had to do was send it and they sent me the scope back fixed with a letter dating the scope. Very friendly company and great product they stand behind. I only give my money to Leupold for optics.

It's always refreshing to hear that there are some companies that still do this. I have always been a fan of Burris and Leupold optics(although I only own one of the mentioned two so far) and will continue to be. Kudos to Leupold!

The first rifle i bought was not topped with a Leupold, but every one after that has been.

I have a 2x7 compact on a 243 that i let the boys use when they were younger. It is an older scope and was on the rifle when i got it in 1983. In 1998, i took it to the range and couldn't get it to group. I took it off, put it in a fedex box along with a note that had my address and in big bold letters - won't group - deer season starts Friday - (it was Monday when i sent it). Thursday night a UPS truck pulls up at the house with the repaired scope. ...And i direct you back to the first sentence in this post....

I was in the local gunshop when another customer came in with a Leupold scope....well actually, just 1/2 of a Leupold scope. He wanted to return it but the store would not accept it as it was obviously not a manufacturing problem, but a running into a tree on a four wheeler kind of problem. The customer could not locate the other 1/2 of the scope. Anyway, the store agreed to send it back to Leuopold and while Leupold did not replace the scope for free, they sold the customer a new replacement for below wholesale cost. They did not have to do anything, but they helped the guy out and got him back out hunting again very quickly.
