Are Springfield M1A's allowed to be sold to CA?
Had a guy from California win my auction for a M1A, can I ship it to a dealer in CA?
Thanks

As long as it's not fully auto and has a ten round magazine. 0 -
I understand that it can not have the standard flash suppressor. There is a make of flash suppressor that is OK with California law. There is a Ca Department of Justice site that may give you more info. 0 -

CA legal flash suppressor0 -
Just note that there is no such thing as a CA-legal flash suppressor. The California DOJ doesn't allow them in. It must either be a muzzle brake or not have anything at all on the end of the barrel.
Otherwise M1As are perfectly legal in California.0 -

I would let the winner know you are removing the flash hider and 20rd mag and see what he says. You could still send him his front sight and disassembly wheel and all the other parts minus the flash hider.0 -
Yes, M1A's are sold in stores here. The guns now wear a "Muzzle Brake" which is legal in Cal, just not the old slotted "Flash Hider".
I think Springfield now only puts 10 round mags with the guns from the factory.. I could be wrong. You can ship the gun to Cal as long as it has the "muzzle brake" with the round holes and 10 round mag.0 -
None of this is your problem....send him what he won and let his transfer dealer deal with any problems with what he CAN and CAN'T have. We can't and are not responsible for every law in every area....it is the buyer who has to worry over these things. 0 -
Thanks everyone for the info. It has a muzzle break and ten round mag so he should be ok to receive it. 0
