Old Hickory Knives...again...
I ordered a pair of 8" Slicer knives from a guy on Fleabay.
Great price. I got two for the price of one, seems to be the typical price. I've also bid on a pair of Butcher knives from him.

He could have meant "their" as in belonging to them. Don

...cubs...Ive bought some really nice old, but "new stock" assorted knives from this guy...decent prices and the knives are better than some high price (ouch!) Heinckle (sp/ck) knives I have.
...You just need to list him as a favorite seller and ck his auctions to get the full assortment you need...took me a year to get what I needed, but worth it. 1 here, 2 there kinda thing.
...OLD Soligen, super sharp, and hold an edge.
...2 sizes of chef knives, paring, de-bone, etc. He lists a lot of nice straight razors, collect some of those too ([:D]). Just have to check his auctions from time to time to see when he has the nice knives, he doesn't have them all the time...just when he runs up on nice old ones.... not cheap, but will last a lifetime.
...He's in Germany, but no problem...I have always sent him cash, he's an honest dude...the only out of country seller I deal with.
...I am THE cook, and damn good too...so a good set of knives are like "tools" for me, excellent knives and well worth the price...[;)]

Hey, all my kitchen knives are Old Hickory.. So sre my Mom's and so are my Grandma's that about a 160 total years of slicing and dicing.

These knives are only for use this fall for butchering deer. The prices are so good I'd be crazy not to buy them. When I asked on here about them, the majority had plenty of good things to say about them. If I like them, I may go to a full kitchen set of them.0 -

...Here's some pics of a few of my straight razors I collect, Boker, Soligen, Red Duck,etc. Pretty neat, names inlayed, laminates, etched, engraved, pretty wild for damned old throat cutters...[:0]
The leather thingy is an old barbers straight razor roll up carrying case...and some of the old boxs.
...If you like and collect knives, and who don't..you might do a little homework on these things...learn about 'em and buy 'em right on flea-bay...and you can turn around and re-list, for a GOOD profit...or hold awhile (few months are so) and make a REAL good profit. Like buy the right one for $5 bucks, relist in a week and sell it for $18+...course some in the pics were a "tad" more than $5 bucks [8D]. Point is, it does not take but pennies to get started, like Vegas..and RUN IT UP!!!!...[:D]0 -
They are manufactured up the road from me, in Franklinville Ny, at Ontario Knife. One of my buds at work Cutco, used to work there. They are a good cheap knife, but hardly a Cutco, or a Henckels.
For what you want them for they will suffice!0 -
