i have in my hands a nc star 3x9x42 illuminated Reticle scope/w rings to give away, it was on a rifle i bought, other than two pin pr!ck marks on the shroud it is in great shape, last time i let someone look at it they left it on so if i cannot get a battery for it, you'll have to pick one up

Back when I was seriously considering law enforcement for a career, I realized that it didn't pay enough to make me put up with all the BS from the streets and even worse from TPTB that were supposed to be on your side. It's still a marvel to me how anybody can do that job and stay sane. (I have one brother with a local city department and one with the CHP.) I've had many run-ins with the po-po on both sides of the equation, and I've never seen anything but good people dealing with bad situations in a professional manner. Either I missed all that police misbehavior that folks complain about, or maybe I just did what I was told and didn't give them a ration of shiite.

I salute the men in Blue...Last week I enjoyed team teaching a recent training session on Juvenile Law and procedure for representatives from all of the Police Departments in the county I work in.
They have a tough job and I enjoy helping to assure they have the information they need to do that tough job....

Well, I'd like to join in on this one. Having a nephew that is in law enforcement and a close friendship with our local LEO I too salute those hardworking individuals that enforce our laws. They have a job that all too often is negatively looked at. Many folks don't consider the times their lives are in danger for the rest of us. My hats off to them all.

I'll dedicate this one to my late brother-in-law.
Bob died of a massive heart attack only 6 years after retiring from Detroit PD. He was 52. He was a great guy, worked in a rough city, and treated my younger sister like a queen.
He always kept a big jar of change and when the neices or nephews would stop by, they could grab all they could in one handful and take it home with them.
Every summer he rented a cottage on Lake Huron for a week in late June or early July and then welcomed all of us as we stopped up for a day or so here or there. Something on the barbeque every day and the kids could play in the waves.
He loved to sit on the porch overlooking the waves every morning with a cup of coffee and the newspaper and feel the cool breeze welcoming the warming day. It was a peaceful change from his normal activity.
He loved golf so my son or son's and I try to go golfing once a year at the course he always visited when on vacation. We call it the Bobby Breeze Memorial Classic in his honor.
