I never had anything like those you just made but it does sound good.

A hunting buddy pickles/cans his own jalepeno rings and gives me a couple jars a year. Man, are they good! Crisp, mildly salty and medium hot.

I use 'em on grilled cheese sandwiches and in scrambeld eggs.

I also make timberdoodle omelets with 'em.

Try this sometime when you just get one woodcock.

Breast out the timberdoodle. Cut into 1/4 to 1/2 inch pieces.

Heat fry pan and put some oil (olive or vegetable) and/or a pat or 2 of butter. Toss in timberdoodle chunks and some chopped onions. Cook but don't overdo it.

Mix 2 or 3 eggs with just a splash of milk and whip it up. Pour into your preheated omelet fry pan. Toss in the timberdoodle and onions, add some shredded cheddar and some chopped jalepenos.

Cook like you would any other omelet and fold it when edges are firm.

Enjoy with some toast or better yet, fresh biscuits and honey.

    Die and go to heaven.
