If you go to www.accuratereloading.com and enter the forums, all those t-rex videos are posted there. And yes, Zulu, that gun would more than likely knock you on your a$$ too. Best as I remember, it a 577 caliber. It would knock most of people on their a$$ if they weren't expecting it, and these guys in the video weren't. And before you start calling all Arabs "taliban" and bad-mouthing ALL Arabic people, get a load of this Arabs reloading set-up and his shooting room.

Here is a link from accuratereloading.com on load specs for the 577 T-Rex. Note that the load they use has 178 grains of Reloader 19!!! [:0] And, Zulu, also note that the cartridge, in their rifle, has over 11,000 ft/lbs of energy!! [B)] Plus, the bullets are all from 650 to 900 ounces!

That 577 Tyrannosaur is pushing a 750 grain monolithic solid at over 2400 FPS with over 10,000 lbft of energy. The 460 Weatherby is only running 7,700 lbft, and the 700 Nitro Express is only at 8,900 lbft. So I guess you can say it has a little kick to it.

They are "stopper cartridges" IE: they are what you hope the PH is carring when a ele/cape buff etc is about to convert your ass into a mud hole. They are also a hoot to shoot.
"Normal" cartridges used by the hunters run from the 375H&H up to the big boys, although most people stop at the 458WM/458Lott level
