I have the nikon D70s (6mp) works great, I can also use all my Nikon 35mm camera lenses filters etc as well. You can take almost 1,400 pics before it needs a recharge. The cool thing is you can save you pic's in a raw NEF format (no compression). This thing has more bells a whistles than I will ever learn.

For school sports and events I use a Nikon D70S. Like FrancF said, it has more things you can do on it than most of us will ever need. It's a good camera, but the lenses are spendy.

    Of the serious photo-equipment... :

    Canon EOS 300D Digital camerahousing
Canon EOS 500N 35mm film camerahousing
Canon EOS 1000F 35mm film camerahousing

    4 lenses ranging from:
18-55, 28-80, 35-80 and 75-300mm (all go on the digital camera)

A variety of filters, anti glare and such.

Speedlite flashlight, that go on each camerahousing.

Then comes a small variety of semiserious and experimental cameras..
Olympus C2 digital, Olympus compact 35mm camera, cheap underwater cameras...

I guess I'm pretty well covered myself.
