I am sure many have seen this,..........but maybe many have not. It has been "snopesed", and is true.
Wouldn't it be welcome change if Dubya had the conjones to adopt the Australian's policy?

Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia , as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head off potential terror attacks.
A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to Australia and her Queen at a special meeting with Prime Minister John Howard, he and his Ministers made it clear that extremists would face a crackdown. Treasurer Peter Costello, seen as heir apparent to Howard, hinted that some radical clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not accept that Australia was a secular state, and its laws were made by parliament. "If those are not your values, if you want a country which has Sharia law or a theocratic state, then Austra lia is not for you", he said on National Television.
"I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two laws governing people in Australia: one the Australian law and another Islamic law that is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law, independent courts, democracy, and would prefer Sharia law and have the opportunity to go to another country, which practices it, perhaps, then, that's a better option", Costello said.
Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked to move to the other country. Education Minister Brendan Nelson later told reporters that Muslims who did not want to accept local values should "clear off. Basically people who don't want to be Australians, and who don't want, to live by Australian values and understand them, well then, they can basically clear off", he said.
Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.

Lord how I wish our government officials had some backbone. Unfortunately, our officials are not as concerned about our country or it's people as they are themselves. Power and money is our official's main concern. 0 -

Our government can only be described by me as "confused".
The Aussies don't seem to be.
It is way past time for our so-called "leaders" to lead. Like these Australian folks seem to be doing.
Thought about moving to New Zealand for awhile, but the firearms laws in NZ and Australia do not suit me.
Maybe, if they takes our firearms, I'll do it. New Zealand is the most beautiful and welcoming Country I've ever had the pleasure to visit.

That is kind of amusing,......as I have wondered before if I ever had to leave my own country, where would I go?
My choices were New Zealand, followed by Australia!
I, like you, am aware of the gun laws, and that is a big negative to me also. Who knows how long we will have our rights here though?
It confuses me that the PM in Australia, even though they have less gun freedom than we do for now,.........has far more "cajones" than our own President, when it comes to what they will allow to happen in their country.
They appear to want to keep their citizens safe, and not have their culture watered down, and changed.
Does not appear we want the same here,........at least the Prez, and many of the politicos don't. Guess that is why they ignore us![}:)]0 -

Don't take my previous statement wrong!
I have no desire to leave MY country, that many of my relatives, and ancestors, gave up their lives for.
I was making a statement about,.........why does a country like Australia, that has become afraid of guns,.........why does their leader, have the balls, to confront the problem, and come out and say, that they wish to KEEP their culture, and language, and are willing to do what is not considered PC here, and get rid of the problem, but WE, and our "leaders", are terrified of doing anything that might be critized!
Why isn't Bush calling Australia, a "rascist" nation!
