My 5 year old daughter spent 7 days at that same hospital last year. Its the best there is!!! Hang n there, they know what they are doing and it will get better. I know the helpless feeling you feel.

Hang in there. It is for the best in the long run. We spent LOTS of time at Shriners. Our son is great now, but it was really tough on mom and dad at the time. Kids do well, better than we would with the same problem. Will lift you in our prayers.

I am so sorry to hear what you guys are dealing with. I am glad you got on it early....it really is a LOT easier to deal with anything like this while they are little. My mother has saved some strange "bracket" thing-a-ma-jig that was mine when I was a baby. It held my feet in place while I slept as a baby. She said my legs flopped out of joint before I wore it. Good thing about it is I can't remember a thing and my joints aren't floppy. I think babies are the toughest little boogers on earth. Keep us posted on how you guys are doing.

Yup. I was a little Forrest Gump myself. Had the cast then the special shoes with the brace in between. This was way back 1968. Don't remember it and my Momma don't talk about it. Don't even have any pictures. I turned out alright. Have a pretty set of legs infact. Too bad the feets are as flat as pancakes.
Little man will be alright, you just hang in there. I know how you feel when the chitlins are uncomfortable.

Knowing that it needs to be done, does not make it any easier, when they are in pain. Hang in there, it WILL be worth it in the long run.
