Naked Man Says he Thought He Was at Nude Beach

A 41-year-old Gulf Breeze man is claiming that he exposed himself at Beasley Park because he thought it was a nude beach.
A passerby reported the man after he and his 12-year-old son saw him as they walked along the beach Tuesday afternoon, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The two saw the man standing by a blue and pink umbrella talking on his cell phone. The father and son said the man "did not attempt to hide or cover himself from their view and were exposed to the suspect's rear end and genitals," according to the report.
As the sheriff's deputy approached the man on the beach, the man grabbed a towel and wrapped it around his waist.
"I made contact with the suspect and he admitted to me that he had nothing on under his towel," the deputy wrote in his report.
The suspect said he thought Beasley Park was a nude beach.
"I asked the suspect if he thought this was a nude beach why does everyone he see have clothes on and why he wrapped a towel around himself to cover up when I approached," the deputy wrote in the report.
A warrant for indecent exposure is pending.
