Positive for Today
We've been fighting hard recently. Every time we hit the net, there's another attack on our guns and our lifestyle.
Those attacks are many and varied, and we have lots of enemies, but I'm going to give them a break today and make mention of the other side.
Handgun carry permits for instance. Yes, I know, they shouldn't even be necessary. We all feel we were born with the right to carry guns, and I agree. But, we have to accept that as it is now.
Fortunately, there are more and more states that are at least granting us "permission" to carry. The number of carry states keeps expanding.
There has been another positive sign recently, beginning I believe, in Florida. Some of the states are at last giving us the right not to run from attackers. We are allowed now to stand our ground and fight back. Even with firearms if necessary. Some of our states have been there since CCW was started, but most were not. Now I see it spreading.
Also the recipricating states, accepting other states permits, gets better all the time. When I got my permit, there were only a half dozen or so states that would accept mine from Tennessee. Now it's almost universal all over the country.
We have made progress. Tomorrow we can get back to the fight, but just for today, the day of our country's birth, lets just appreciate where we are, where we have managed to climb.
Yes, I know, we had to fight to regain what we once had as our birthright, but we HAVE made progress. And we all deserve some credit for that. Give yourself a pat on the back and tilt a glass to it..Just today.

im not too sure, but i might say florida has some of the laxest firearms laws int he nation. F2F gun sales, No hi cap mag bans, pretty simple to be able to purchase class 3 weapons, easy ccw state. ont he brady campaign website, we got an F. 0 -
