I guess this is the one your asking about. According to the wording I take it ya cant talk about it or you would be advocating it.
The Smith Act, as amended, 18 U.S.C. 2385, which prohibits the knowing advocacy of the overthrow of the Government of the United States by force and violence, supersedes the enforceability of the Pennsylvania Sedition Act, which proscribes the same conduct. Pp. 498-510.0 -
I dont remember the exact words but if you read the Declaration of Independence it says something to the effect it is your duty. But as most are aware now our goverment thinks it is above the law and interpits the laws and OUR rights as it will benefit them rather than what the true meanings are. The truth is any law that goes against our constitutional rights is not valid but since we now have a dictatorship instead of a democracy our so called leaders no longer feel they are there to serve the PEOPLE but rather special interests who THEY profit from and the PEOPLE are now the servants instead. At least thats how it looks to me. 0 -

the declaration of independence is that, to declare our independence from England has nothing to do with your rights under the government of the United States besides the U.S. is not a democracy, it is a represenative republic to be run by the rule of law, which if we took up arms against it we would be living under mob rule, which is not good, eg. Iraq- Saddam Hussein! get it? oh btw no where is it written in the constitution that you have a right to vote. food for thought0 -
This is so funny! They can't even get enough protesters against Illegial immigration to protest in Washington! Plus you don't see the gun owners out there protesting the changes in the laws or to give us concealed carry in Chicago, Los Angeles or New York. Gun owners will not even support the NRA.[:(]

First of all, you better be right if you try and secondly, if it were attempted, it would have to be bad enough that the majority of the armed forces would have to switch to your cause. Aint gonna happen as the citizens are the last line of defence against the enemy from within and without. IMHO[:D] 0 -
If you want change you have to be serious enough about that desire to turn off your stupid TV, video games and computers and hit the streets. The illegials want to be citizens more than we want them out of here, they are on the streets and we are not. Thats just one issue as an example.
Regarding the gun issue, the protests came too late in Australia, England and Canada to stop the outlawing of certain types of firearms. You want change you have to be the squeeky wheel!0 -

The US government could try sending troops or FBI to counter the militias but in fact, and this has been discussed before, no military unit in America would take up arms to fight against an American insurgent group. In 1 year the opposition would be killled anyway and the political process will have already fixed the solution.

What is the precise law that says you can not take up arms against our government?
After all, isn't that why we have the Second Amendment for when the Government is no longer "of the people, by the people, for the people"?

Don't count on the military not taking up arms against a home grown insurgency group. If the "insurgency" did not involve the majority of the population, the military would not be on the side of the "revolutionaries". Aint gonna happen. Any smaller groups that want to revolt would be dealt with in short order.0 -
