    Agreed. We are currently baby sitting a two week old kitten here in the office. It was abandoned outside our bldg. We have to feed it with a very small bottle until it can eat by itself. Then we will have to find a home for him.

    I heard a story on the news this morning where 2 teenage girls set a kitten on fire with lighter fluid and then laughed as it burned, screaming, to death (per a witness).

    I'd like to burn them alive!

    A lot of teenagers today simply have no "soul".
    They have no value for life,......often even their own, which is their problem.
    Just wait until these "creatures" start breeding, and see what their offspring are capable of![}:)]

    It's kids like this that pretty much insure that I will never relinquish my right to bear arms. Criminals are getting more brutal and much younger with each passing day it seems.

    It's not just today, Marc. It's always been this way. Nowdays they just have higher chances of survival, and nowdays, people have a lot more respect for life of critters so it gets a lot more attention.

    This is right near my hometown. I was reading the editorial comment that the lady wrote about this a few days ago. I can't believe that this is newsworthy enough to be nationwide news.

    As a self proclaimed hater-of-cats, I think this was pretty cruel. HOWEVER, I've heard plenty of stories growing up about how folks used to tie two cats togehter at the tails and throw them over a line to watch em fight. I've also heard about people lighting cats on fire to watch them run. AND I've heard about people using fireworks to harass/kill cats. ALL of which is horrifying.

    What gets me is how come no one ever said anything about in the past and why would THIS get so much media coverage???

    Seems like there would be plenty other more newsworthy stories out there to me.

    Because now we have umpteen 24/7 cable news stations, that have to fill their time with something.
    Other hand, I was taught to only kill an animal if I was going to eat it, or it was doing damage to my property,.......not for entertainment.
    I wonder about people that get entertainment out of torture, and death, for no reason,..........think a lot end up being serial killers.

    +1 Mommy and/or Daddy are at work making money to buy stuff and pleasure, and baby grows up in front of a monitor that sears it's conscience over.
