Rogue's great American road trip
OK, Who's on my way??
I'm going to be making a 1000 mile road trip starting on the 8th of August. I'm on my way from Tennessee to Fort Riley Kansas for my MTT team assignment in preparation for going over to the sandbox.
I plan on taking 2 days to drive it (1000 miles) and will be going through Chicago it seems. If anyone is on the way, I'd like to meet up with ya if you have a chance to.

here's the directions I'm probably taking:
Turn LEFT to take ramp onto I-181 S toward US-23 S - go 1.9 mi
3. Take exit #46B/KNOXVILLE onto I-81 S - go 56.5 mi
4. Take exit #1B/KNOXVILLE onto I-40 W - go 209.0 mi
5. Continue on I-24 W - go 183.0 mi
6. Take LEFT exit #44B/CHICAGO onto I-57 N - go 52.2 mi
7. Bear LEFT on I-64 W - go 71.5 mi
8. Continue on I-55 S - go 2.6 mi
9. Take the MEMORIAL DR/KANSAS CITY exit onto I-70 W toward KANSAS CITY - go 249.0 mi
10. Bear LEFT on I-670 W - go 3.9 mi
11. Continue on I-70 W (Portions toll) - go 118.0 mi
12. Take exit #303/OGDEN - go 0.2 mi
13. Turn RIGHT on KS-18 - go 3.1 mi
14. Turn LEFT on 12TH ST - go 0.4 mi
15. Turn RIGHT on L ST - go 1.0 mi
16. Turn LEFT on HEUBNER RD - go 0.6 mi
17. Arrive at the center of FORT RILEY, KS

There's about a half a dozen of us along and either side of I-70. I'm just north of Perry, Ks. off of highway US24. Kimberkid and Bigtire are both in Topeka, give me a time when you're coming through and I'll burn a varmint. Or we could maybe get those other guys to buy us a breakfast. I know there are a couple forum members in Manhattan and thats only about 10 mile east of Junction City. If you have time, I have guns that need shot and a place to do it.
How confined are you going to be when you get to Fort Riley?

I should have some weekends free (at least Sundays.) I should be there for 75 days for train up, then I'll be "wheels up."0 -
Looks like you will be picking up I-24 in Nashville and coming right up my alley. I am right off exit 13 in KY, just south of the IL border. Actually, 13 miles south of the IL border! 0 -

Thought about that. I SHOULD be there til late october (give or take a few weeks)
