For what you stated that you wanted it for, that would suit you just fine. Even one with an A2 (solid, fixed) buttstock is great for a plinker. If your wife, GF, or kids are going to shoot it go with the collapsable stock. It could also double as a good house gun. they are a joy to shoot and are cheap to feed. Also addicting! Different uppers can be bought no FFL needed. A 16 or 20 inch barell is enough. Type in "AR Uppers" in the GB search.Half a dozen companys now make AR'S and most are very good quality. Rock river stuff is great.Tapco makes a line of accessories. Midway carries lots of AR stuff too.

Isnt a carbon 15 a one handed ar 15? I have one love it just need to bet some extra $$$$$$$$ for a good laser sight. The factory sights are ok but not great. My son has a ar 17 bullpup and he is quite accurate with it also.

Buy a Rock River AR15.....made to mil-spec, more options for accessories when buying and competitive price.

The only thing A1 on the example auction is the rear sight.

Does anyone make an AR which is NOT mil-spec?
How does RR allow more accessories than other brands?

$900 is too much for an A1. Dealer price from Davidson's is $699.99 with a full lifetime warantee from the distributor. Price should be closer to $800.

    I agree.
    I have 2 Bushmaster AR-15's both under $800.
    One New and one Used.
