My latest batch of German Altbier sucked ass! I was going to dump it down the drain but a friend sampled it and liked it. So I am giving it all to him. I hesitated a bit because I wanted the bottles back ($24 worth of bottles) but he has assured my I'll get them back - cleaned. I did dump 12 bottles because I was short on bottles for the IPA that needed to be bottled.

My Scotch Ale is starting to mellow and have a great flavor, this one took several weeks longer than most to become drinkable but it is now a Friday night staple.

I bottled my India Pale Ale - by far my best non-dark beer. It should be ready in less that a week to sample. I am STOKED!

I am making another batch of India Pale Ale and a batch - possible 2 - of my Irish Stout. This is the best Stout I have ever had and ages VERY well. I need to make these two before Thanksgiving so I have enough.

    Where do you get your stuff. I love German Dark home brew but haven't been able to find the stuff lately. I'm due for another brew any advice would be appreciated.

    I get all of my kits from here using their "own" kits. The kit that I did not like was their German Altbier.

    Great company.
    I have made 6 batches of their ESB bitters, that is the best beer I ever had.
    I made one batch of the German altbier, I was not too impressed. I drank it, but not nearly as good as the bitters.
    Next, I try the stout.

    Dang it! - I was trying to remember who it was again. You will LOVE their own irish stout, really, really good kit. The BEST stout I have ever had. Exactly like a draft guinness in consistency but tastes better (good chocolate hints). I suggest making 2 batches at once because it will not last.

    Getting ready to bottle a batch of "Vienna" style beer from an all grain recipe. I just racked to a secondary fermenter and took another SG reading. In place of water... I used the liquid from ground.. fresh corn. Smells pretty good right now...Can't wait!
