A ConocoPhillips refinery in Belle Chasse is down after a power failure Wednesday led to a fire, a company spokeswoman said.
The cause of the power failure is unknkown, and the fire was quickly extinguished, spokeswoman Terry Hunt said.
The fire happened on the crude unit, which will be down for as long as a week.

Gas has dropped 15 cents a gallon here in the past week, of course we were paying higher prices then most of the country much earlier. 0 -
