My neighbor a good friend has what I call [to his face] a dog
pound, his three dogs don't bark when he or his wife is home, the minute they walk out the door they bark 24-7.
He has adopted I don't no how many cats, if I leave my garage open the piss all over everything, I can't leave cushions on my outside furniture, because, these cats are infested with flea's and will sleep on my cushions, Stuarts wife has offered to pay me to shoot them, however, all kidding aside I like my neighbors
What makes all of this worse, my dog pound neighbors and I have the same last name and whenever there's a complaint neighbors [when the dog pound neighbors are out of town] single out the wrong Taylor, not only do I have to endure the dogs barking all night, I get yelled at by irate neighbors thinking their my pets.0 -
You know, everyone has a one sided story. I mean killing kittens is kinda sick and all, but the guy who called the police claiming hunters were shooting at his house... I've been on the other end of that spectrum and it ticks me off. Out in B.F.E. rural Texas, the neighbor who decided to build their house on the same edge of the property as my friends, was maybe 300yds away from where we were shooting in the opposite direction... Called the law, claiming we were shooting automatic weapons at his horses (who were on the other side of his property)... Besides being physically impossible considering we were shooting to the long side of my friends property which was in the opposite direction, and into a birm, we weren't shooting automatic weapons. Next thing you know the whole country sheriff dept shows up to harrass us, and wants to search his house for automatic weapons and lalalala. The next weekend we go shooting again, and we start hearing a bang coming from the neighbors. I go up to the top of the birm (after out line was cold
) with my canon image stabalizing 10x50's, and what do I see at the neighbors... Dude is shooting in our direction, intentionally... About that same time the sheriffs dept shows up again. My word against his, he was the caller, and this was a repeat call for the same issue to the same house, guess who gets the benifit of the doubt... The next weekend, before we go shooting I decide to do a knock and talk to let the guy know we are shooting.. Next thing you know, he's telling me how I can't own "them kinda guns" and starts preaching to me "why would anyone need something like that" and "you don't need to be shooting like that out here"
I'm like, if you can't shoot out in the country where you go to get away from people and do stuff like that, what can you do? To many people, not enough space...0 -
Lee, set up a video camera zoomed in on the neighbor's home. Then go on shooting at the range. If he shoots toward the range, you'll have all the evidence you need when the cops arrive. 0 -
Fortunately for me, our Deputies would have laughed at him. I remember the time I called them for some suspicious activity in the woods. I was standing outside when the Deputy showed up. He asked me what was going on, and I told him. Then I remembered that I was holding my 40 cal in my hand. I said "I guess I should put this away", and all he said was "yea"[:D][:D] 0 -
well this one is a thinly veiled anti hunting/ gun owner BS 0 -
Even better; just park a car on the neighbor side of the property with someone who knows how to get a decent, focused picture with a video camera, and plink away.
I'm surprised that even a Texan that dislikes select-fire weapons would be so stupid as to shoot in the direction of people shooting (alleged) auto weapons. Doesn't he think anyone will engage him as a target of opportunity/self defense?!0 -
ROFLMAO, while blowing milk out of my nose.
BS for sure
those kinda people comically entertaine me.0 -
Live in the Country.
Deal with Country Folk.
Wanna live in some kind of quiet, mesohippie Utopia?
May I suggest Boulder, CO. Just don't get any further west or south than Nederland, or you'll find your Birkenstock-wearin', patchouli-stinkin', American Flag burnin' ass at the bottom of a mine shaft.
You know...
From what I hear.0 -

I see you're in Colorado, so you know that Western Boulder County is a little bit different than the People's Republic of Boulder.
Sorry about the milk, though, bro.0 -

I'm hip. Did a year out in Montrose from 94-95.0 -
People who shoot cats are not hunters and should not be associated with them.
Sounds like the first person lives within city limits, why did the cops not properly brutalize the "hunter" for "hunting" within city limits?
Where I live it is illegal to shoot within the city except in the case of self defense. Unless the "kittens" were tiger cubs (doubtful) it was NOT self defense.0 -
calm down it is propaganda 0
