Goodwill no longer accepts
TOYS! I have a neighbor who is the pick up guy for the goodwill boxes in our area. He informed us that Goodwill no longer accepts any toys due to 2 law suits against them regarding toys with lead. All toys given to Goodwill are now thrown away! It really stinks that someone would sue Goodwill over a toy IMO.

First see if any of the toys are on the recall list, then contact local churches in the area...They will have or should have lists of families who dont have anything and are in desperate need of kids stuff...then take it to the family...
Even hospitals take toys for kids, as long as they are not on the recall list...

It makes total sense........NOT......Mattel, Hasbro, and the rest of the major toy suppliers buy all the crap from China. They make an obscene margin of profit, have little to NO quality control, book huge annual profits, and pay their stockholders and executives annually.
They buy the cheapest crap they can get! NO child labor laws. NO EPA, NO OSHA, and record trade deficits with China every year. And, they pay their workers next to nothing while recieving government assistance. WE as a civilized society continue to buy all that comes from China.
Unfortunatly, it will take 100 or so poisoned and dead children to wake us up. Thousands and thousands closed up manufacturing facilities around the country hasn't woken anyone up yet!

There's a special place in Heck for anyone who would sue Goodwill.
And to think of all the hours I played with lead soldiers? Not near as dangerous as playing with real ones. Maybe I should sue the manufacturer for exploiting my violent side and making me join the military.0 -

any of you been to a goodwill lately?
they are just insane, their asking higher prices for used stuff they got for free than you can buy it for new, i don't mean everything in the store, but the junk i looked at was outrageous0 -

Always deals to be had at the Goodwill store here. They will bargain too. I usually stop in every other week or so, mainly to browse through the used books. But every so often you will run across a "diamond in the rough."0 -

The ones that allowed American companies to start dumping there Chinese garbage on US soil.

What's ARC? The only thing that comes to mind is American Red Cross but I've never seen a Donations store run by them -?0 -
I donate through my church, the salvation army, and our women's shelters.

i tend to cut out the middle man and donate with guidence from the holy spirit, to all those in need that i can possibly help. be it an abused woman and children, an old couple that needs a tug, an old widow that needs wood, get a job for a homeless fella, help a sick fella with medicine cost etc, but do it year round. and remain silent of such.[;)][8D] 0
