These rifles have gotten alot better since I was a kid. We thought 1000 fps was fast. This is a .177 PBA pellet @ 1600 fps.
I would save it for rabbits and squirrels, though

  I got one (it is a different make than that one) that will go clean through a 1/4" plywood at 45 feet.

  I borrow 46270 all the time, his is a gamo.
  using raptors he gets about 1275 fps.
  he likes it, no noise at all, he can
  shoot squirrel in his yard, no one knows.

  try that PBA ammo adds a couple hundred FPS
