Mag question.
Mag question.
I recently bought a bushy mag from online. My question is is there a reason why the mag is parkarized and the base plate blued? Is this how they do things, or is there more to it?

That's just how they did it that particular day at the factory. 0 -
Bushmaster mags are usually teflon coated...it makes them "drop free" easier. They can have all kinds of bottoms. So long as its marked the right way and has the correct green follower...no big deal. 0 -

This one does not have the green follower rather a grey one with 5.56 printed on it with a little circle above it with three or so oblong triangles inside it.
Here is what I mean:
I was thinking that it was a older mfg or something like that. Hopefully that is the case and not the other I'm thinking of.0 -

I was wondering about this too...I just got in a new Bushmaster and the mag had a grey follower...not the usual green.?.?0 -
Just get HK mags. I was impressed with how sturdy they were when I got some. [:)] 0 -
Because aluminum can't be blued so they get the grey annodizing and teflon coating.
The baseplate is steel so it gets whatever finish steel gets including blue.0 -
Magpull followers i believe, anti tilt, they say there better than the green. 0 -
Pointer is right on the followers. They are said to be the best yet and have arms on both ends to keep them from tilting. 0 -
you can get alot better deals on the same mag, also. They are all mismatched and get scrapes on them 0
