  About 25 years ago, I worked graveyard shift at a local convenience store chain called Allsup's. The guy with the shift ahead of mine was found 3 times in the walk-in, lacking clothes, tied up, and all the Marlboros and cash were missing. Long story short, I was asked to drive to Clovis to take a lie-detector test with my gas reimbursement contingent on passing the test. Since I had no involvement in the robberies, I asked if there were a closer site to take the test, and was told that they wanted to check everyone at the store with the same polygrapher, and he was in Clovis. When I mentioned that I hadn't been robbed due to the sidearm I carried; they fired me.
  Allsup's is down to 3 stores in Albuquerque.
