    It wasn't a rear naked choke. A rear naked choke is a blood choke which cuts off circulation to the brain. 10 seconds max, and anyone of any size or strength will be unconscious; any longer and you can cause serious brain damage, or death.

    He just had a choke hold around the other guy's neck, which is why he couldn't breath when the shorter guy tightened it up. Crude, but effective. It can take a couple minutes for someone to loose consciousness that way.

    This kid used an air choke. There is a difference between an air choke, and a carotid restraint. The air choke is cruel and takes a long time to take effect. The carotid restraint puts someone out in less than 5 seconds and is humane. Also the air choke is very prone to permanent throat damage.

    Air chokes were not used and frowned upon as a use of force in law enforcement. The carotid restraint was taught and used by law enforcement, especially in the jails.
