alcohol & peroxide as cleaning solvent?
I had a guy ask me if 50/50 mixture of this was good for cleaning guns.

good for causeing corrosion I'd wager. Why are guys always looking for some medicine chest way to avoid spending $5 on a purpose made product, which will actually work? Tell him to pack the action with watermelon seeds between uses and he will never need to clean the gun again. 0 -
Equal parts of Hydrogen Peroxide, rubbing Alcohol, and liquid Murphy's Oil Soap is the standard cleaning mixtre as well as the mixture 4-H Shooting sports black powder shooters have to use in all 4-H competitions. The Peroxide does clean all fouling fast, the Alcohol provides fast dryoing, and the Murphy's oil soap puts a oil base back into the bore. Ask ANY 4-H BP Shooting Sports Coach. 0 -
Only mix like that uses vinegar instead of alcohol and works real well. 0
