Mexican Truckers. Have you seen any?

Since the border was opened to Mexican trucks, I've heard alot of speculations about if this or that truck accident was because of them.
But I can truthfully report that so far, I haven't even seen one. At least one that was obvious. No junky truck w/Mexican company names or plates. Either on the road or at the Truckstops. I drive a coupe hundred miles on I-44 every day. And I've been watching for them.

    We were recently in a truckstop on I44, and there were several mex drivers in there eating..and rattling in mex..[:(!]

    Just because there were Mexican eating in a truckstop doesn't nessisarily mean they were Mexican Truckers. I'm not saying you're wrong, but Mexicans are everywhere these days. And there have been Mexican drivers (of American owned trucks) for a long time.
    But to the point, I'm not asking if you've seen Mexican drivers. But Mexican TRUCKS. I'm beginning to think they must have them disguised as American trucks. Maybe even w/American company names & plates.

    The nationwide program is being piloted through two ports of entry only at this time and by two (I believe) Mexican trucking companies. I think one is Larado Texas and the other in California. The rest of the Mexican trucks are confined to a limited number of miles into the USA, 25 or 50.

    It is coming, just in steps. You WILL see them in your area at some point.

    Had one deliver some gear to our jobsite the other day. He could barely speak any English at all. Go figure.

    Most won't remember, but about 25 yrs. ago some were allowed into the states, can't remember why. Until that time I think they were limited to about 10 miles from the border. ANYhow, they were easy to spot because they had fuel tanks attached under the trailer, usually three or four on each side. That way they could use their very cheap fuel and avoid our fuel taxes. I can't remember why they were exempt but it went on for a while, trucks were pretty junky but I can't recall any real bad problems. Pissed everybody off though. Especially all those truckers who had to file fuel tax reports.

    Hate to break it to you (again) but there are Mexican trucks from Mexico driving well past 400 miles from the border every day on I-40, I-10, I-25, US70, US285, and almost any other road in nM, TX, AZ, CA, CO, and Utah; I see them every day, no matter where I drive.
    They haul produce, tools, water pipe, manhole covers, fire hydrants, manure, frozen seafood, fruit & toys all over the Southern half of the US.
    Pretty sure they've been doing it for at least 15 years, that I've noticed.
    There's already been a horrendous crash, explosion and carnage from one Meskin truck runnin' into another; diesel truck hit a fertilizer truck hauling Ammonium Nitrate-WOW!
