I'm already preparing to "crack" if the scum politicos go through with the illegals agenda, and then tax me even more to pay for them!

I think I just cracked. My wife just changed jobs (we were on her insurance) and is not eligible for insurance at her new job until October. In the meantime we will need to pay for COBRA. Just found it's going to be almost $1000/month for the three of us. I wish we could be irresponsible enough not have health insurance and let the Govt. take care of us. Just go to the E.R. whenever we're not feeling well. Isn't that what irresponsible trash does? That's part of the reason healthcare/insurance is so high. That's why taxes are so high. The hardworking middle class has to support all the people who take the lazy way out. I'm done ranting. Thanks for your time.

Lots of you need to wake up. Sadly you're looking at America through patriotic blinders. As long as the doors to Home Depot and McDonalds stay open, credit cards come in the mail, and homes can be bought with interest only mortgages, you're not going to see a wide scale rebellion or revolution now or 100 years from now.

The majority of America, no, the vast majority of America, doesn't give a damn. The average Iraqi wouldn't even stand up for thier own country against a rampantly tyranical government, you think the average American is going to give up Starbucks and Direct T.V. for your nobel cause?

    Not gonna happen.

I may loose my job and insurance at any moment. My job ,I`m sure will be brought up tonight at the school board meeting. If I loose it I cannot afford meds for myself and my son.I am too old to start over and too young to retire. If I loose my job I will more than likely never be able to retire. There are no good jobs to be had in Michigan.I am ready to crack now.

I sense the 'middle class' will slowly bleed out shortly
    after it 'cracks.'

... it's gonna have to support and raise a whole lot
more new non-English speaking Americans, soon![:0]

The middle class is no where near the breaking point, mostly because the average joe-six pack has no clue as to just how bad things really are. He is in debt up to his neck so what does he care if Uncle Sam operates in the red every year? As long as John Q Public has his big pickup truck, a jet ski, boat or travel trailer to tow behind it and his two weeks of vacation every year he is satisfied. Even when John Q is pi$$ed off he has found the ultimate outlet for his rage: The internet forum. Once John Q spots something on his start-up page that upsets him, he cut and pastes it over to his buddies on the web and they all have a good rant and feel so much better. If John Q is relly PO'd he'll click on an online petition to show (someone) just how angry he is, pat himself on the back for having the balls to show just how mad he is and then, after knowing that he made a difference, he'll sit in front of his big screen TV, pop open a can of crappy American made beer (gotta keep the other John Q's working at the brewery), open his bills and then write a check for the minimum payment on his credit cards, all while he plans on his purchase of a roll bar and fancy wheels for his pickup truck. Go get 'em John Q.

I still remember how all you people were so grateful for that (*&^%$(*&$@#%$ tax cut that George the Lesser gave you. Peanuts for masses to keep them contented & massive tax cuts for the rich. Toss you people a few peanuts now & then & you will never revolt.

i think you need a bit more faith than that, even though i tend to see it exactly the same way. it most likely won't happen ever, people who believe in Constitution will be deemed insane or terrorists. but who knows, i am seeing a lot of change in people who normally wouldn't give a damn (away from socialist ideas that is). time will show. i personally would prefer it in my day so my children wouldn't have to face it but it's just wishful thinking :)

could you please substantiate your statement of massive cuts for the rich? preferably with some numbers and statistics. that's one. and two -- why the heck do you care about what others (the rich in this case) pay in taxes or what they do with their money? that whole rant sounds like typical socialist propaganda.

I notice there are a ton more people very mad that I'd never thought would be mad. When will folks crack? Who knows, I see these threads come and go.

Kristov find some originality. If you are so disgusted by the average American why don't you be the one to lead a movement, otherwise your words are just hypocritical in my opinion. Piss and moan, Piss and moan. I know not one person in the real world that acts like you say. Then agian, I'm not "one of the boys."

The last of the US Civil Service under the retirement system is retiring right now.

The people filling in their shoes...have no retirement program.

You can't keep people in US Civil Service now.

    The crack cracked.

I have a retirement program of my own so that I won't be broke if the military retirement pay fails or goes broke.

Have you never heard of FERS? For people who take full advantage of the matching funds in the investment program FERS (Federal Employee
Retirement System) is actually far better than the old Civil Service System. I was under Civil Service & exercised the option to switch.
FERS provides 1% per year vrs 2% for Civil Service but also includes Social Security & an investment program that matches up to 5% of your salary in a retirement account. You can still retire at 55 but you lose 5% of your pension a year for each year under age 62.

The middle class is so far in debt at this point that it is at the breaking point even now. eg all the bankrupcies/foreclosures.
