I cheered it too, spanielsells. If you will recall my comments on that thread, I especially liked the part where Bush said "I resign."

The only thing I disagree with bush on is the immigration thing!

I fully back him as the elected president and his policies on the war and such, but I will never agree with letting 20 million criminals have amnesty.

I do feel that this country is getting seriously close to obtaining a civil unrest unmatched by anything that could ever be immagined and a possible civil war. But mostly because of the policies of the Democrates.

The last straw will be if the Dems get any gun control to pass!

The world would be perfect if only John (I'm a hero) Kerry were Preident.

Perhaps politics would work better if half the country gave up their pathological, viral hatred for the other half. No wait...that applies to both sides. Lets just go ahead and divide the U.S. now and get it over with.

Other than him ducking out of military duty, bankrupting several businesses before becoming the governor of Texas, trampling on the Constitution, appointing incompetent cronies to Cabinet positions, mismanaging the war in Iraq, diverting attention and energy away from the war in Afghanistan, presiding over and encouraging the greatest enlargement of the Federal government since FDR, promoting and encouraging the illegal Mexican invasion of this country, subverting American security to the interests of Big Oil and the military-industrial complex, promoting a radical far right religious agenda, eradicating the federal surplus we had and replacing it with the largest deficit in history, selling out and knuckling under to North Korea, encouraging nuclear proliferation by rewarding India and Pakitan's nuclear programs, outing CIA operatives for political retribution, and alienating allies and emboldening enemies...

    ... I still don't care for Bush.

The last straw should have been fifteen power-grabs ago.

But now? Hell, you voted for him... live with it.[xx(]

This is huge. This isn't a stupid decision that can be reversed by legislation down the road.

This man, who is supposed to uphold the Constitution, is wanting to give amnesty to every illegal alien in this country. And their families still in Mexico. Not just sons, daughters and spouses, but grandparents, grandchildren, uncles, aunts, cousins, etc.

I could almost understand if Bush was railroaded into signing a piece of legislation that hit his desk because he needed something more important signed down the road (NOTE: I said I could ALMOST understand).

But, he's spearheading the damned thing! This is his baby!!!!

I agree that this is hugh! That is why I believe we are very close to a civil unrest!

I only call in civil unrest because I do not see anything being organized to say civil war!

EMM--Let's talk about incompetent cronies. Who gave us our pre-war intelligence? Oh yeah. George Flippin' Tenet. Who appointed him Director of the CIA? Oh yeah. Bill BJ Clinton. He was a political hack. Don't go down the road of incompetent crony appointees because we can nit pick all day long. This is nothing new to the Bush administration even though folks like you love to turn everything into a tragedy and a scandal. Get over 2000 already.

I have given up on referring to the Democrats as "extreme" or "liberal". I thought about "Nazis" or "communists" but those aren't an accurate qualifying term.

Scialistis the term I am looking for. Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Dick Durbin, and the extreme wing of the democrat party are every bit socialists as the french.

What bothers me most about this bill is that this bill won't be enforced any bit more than the current laws. It gives illegals more of a legitimate stand in America, but the $5,000 fine is absord. Why should anyone pay it. We aren;t going to deport anyone. People will still say "I've been her 30 years. My children were born here. I'm a good person. "

    THIS IS BAD LEGISLATION!!!!

I agree +1. The real push behind this BS legislation is not from Bush. Its the lineup of Socialist Progressives that line our Congress. The reality is that they are being elected as an alternative to the Republican Party because of a desire for change and lack of support for the war.

The socialist leaders have been there for a long time, they come from the core of socialism in this country, the east coast states and the other large cities like Detroit, Chicago, LA and San Fran.

Bush has many ties to hispanics in his home state, his sister in law is spanish, he does not have a racist bone in his body and he thinks he is doing the right thing. He is misguided. His big mistake is not just letting this situation simmer until he was out of office. Now the democrats will always look back and blame this legislation on the Republicans, even though it has been written and pushed by the likes of Kennedy, Graham, Pelosi, Reid, Boxer, Feinstein, Schumer and many other old line Democrats.

Bush has been suckered, in my opinion!

I think this will hurt the Republican party at election time. We may end up with the likes of a Kerry or Gore mentality in charge of our country and make a major shift towards the socialist/communist docturine. France, Germany, Italy, UK have all gone this route. The masses are ignorant, they just want free stuff from the nanny government and will give up their soul for the so called security. The loss of freedom is the price!![:0][:0]

I'm really getting sick of fighting these battles against our own government, without being allowed to shoot any of them.

I think the "Socialist" label might fit Mrs. Clinton, Baraak O'Bama, or John Edwards well in the General Election.

THese people have moved beyond "liberal".

Shoot, the media likes to tost the "Neo-Con" label around. I think it's time these people accept who they are, Socialists.

McCain, Romney, Guliani, these people could be considered "Conservative Democrats", in the likeness of Truman, more than Republicans. These guys are to the left of President Bush and he's no conservative.
