I just received a phone call that a freind and fellow Texan had been killed in action this past weekend.

SGT Paul Sanchez was a native of Irving Texas, and was assigend to the 543rd MP compmany here at Fort Drum. He died from injuries received from an IED.

A Memorial Service for SGT Sanchez is being held at 1300 hours tomorrow (18Jan) at the Main Post Chapel.

Paul, the Cowboys never lose in heaven RIP friend.

This is the last post that I'm going to read before I hit the sack, I wish it was better news. I hope his family and friends know that at least some of us understand and appreciate his and their sacrifice.

I didn't know him because I've pretty much been here for the deployment and have't met many other people in my BN. I do know that those who pray are praying for his family. God bless them.

    Idsman,

Due a previously scheduled doctor's appointment I can't make the ceremony today. Stop by the office after you go. I am having surgery tomorrow, and I will not be back to work for two weeks.
