Dove season, and I actually have some free time

Anyone else plan on getting out this week? I'll be heading up to the range on Tuesday to get the guns and bow sighted in for the quickly approaching season. They have some sunflower fields, maybe I'll take a walk or two across them as well.

    Good luck! We had some bbq'ed dove breasts last night from my hunt yesterday. Good eating!

    WHen does your archery season come in? Ours came in yesterday, but it is so dadblamed hot, I don't know anyone who went out. By the time you get them out of the woods, the meat is almost spoiled! Hopefully it cools down by the last weekend in October when our youth gun season comes in.

    Archery comes in on the 15th.

    Gun season is in November.

    Can't wait.

    Squirrel season is in right now....gonna have to go smoke a couple tomorrow.

    Our squirrel came in August 1st. Just been too warm to get out and even do that! Tried one morning and ticks and skeeters got the best of me. Came home and will wait for cooler weather. GOod luck...hope you get a few!

    I'm a newbie, self taught(sp??) hunter. They only thing I know is to walk through some corn fields.

    can you really hit them with a 410, thats darn good shootin[:D] iv'e never tried with anything less than a 20ga.
