Pa. Bear Hunters Take Note

I am interested in knowing what was done with the /body carcass of black bears shot this season in Pa.

    I would imagine, and hope, that they were eaten by hunters.
    I have eaten black bear and it is quite good.

    I'm in NY not PA but I'm eating the meat, cleaning the skull for display and having a rug made. I also sold the gall bladder.

    Just wondering,How much did you get for the Gull Bladder?
    I sold mine for 350.00.[:)]that was a couple of years ago.

    guntech, do those bear hides make good rugs?
    Deer hids are no good for rugs because if you walk on 'em very much the hair will come out.

    I just had a roast from mine for lunch the head and hide is at the taxidermist.

    Here he is riding the 4 wheeler.

    I won't get it back 'til this coming september. Fall bears make very nice rugs. Much better than spring bears because the fur is MUCH thicker in the fall.

    I no it is illegal here in PA to sell any of the bear parts.
