ouch....I have a Honda VTX 1800...of course it doesn't sound like that....I can't afford the Harley yet because of my obsessive collection of guns....does that count for not having a harley? 0 -

I've owned both but with drastically different engine displacements. My first motorcycle was an '03 Honda VT750C Aero. I liked it. It was nice but I prefer my '07 HD FXSTB Night Train. Having twice the engine displacement helps. It's not fancy. It's the flat black "denim" color with the blacked out engine and the black-wrinkle finish on just about everything else. It doesn't get many looks but I didn't buy it for looks. I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for a tax-free bonus that paid for about half of it and I probably wouldn't have bought it if they didn't give me a real good offer on my Honda for trade-in. I bought it in November for about $2K less than what the same motorcycle has been selling for this summer.
Whenever I was in Iraq I got my hands on both "Ride Metrick Roadbike" and "American Iron" magazines. I love 'em all. It really is hard to find a P.O.S. late-model bike on the market these days. Most are pretty decent.

I'm loving it dude. Time for her first service. I don't think I could have picked out a better first bike. Tori and I took her for a long ride the other day. It was absolutely perfet outside. She's getting into it. Now if I can just stomach these maintainence costs. We'll either have a Harley (I want a Road King) or Goldwing sooner or later.0 -
I'd rather ride a Honda 250 over any Harley any day of the week and twice on Thursdays. And I hate Thursdays. 0 -

I love my Night Train as well. Ive ridden both and my near 1600 cc Harley blows my mind every time I ride it. Nothing wrong with a Honda in my book but Harley will ALWAY's be on top in my book. I was tinkering around with mine tonight. Had to give the battery a charge because I left the lights on. I noticed that all of the parts I came across had "made in the USA" on them. That counts for something........ 0 -

67% of Harley's are American made, 74% of my Honda Goldwing is American made. Stunner, isn't it![}:)]0 -
There were a lot of Harley's being stolen in my area so I put a Honda cover on mine, So I don't even lock it anymore, "JUST JOKING" I don't care what a person rides as long as they ride. I just like Harley's at 66 I can still keep up with the best of them.

Five years ago I and 5 friends went on an Iron Butt Saddlesore 1000 ride. (1000 miles in 24 hours) I had a Honda VFR then, one friend had a Honda Goldwing and the rest had Harleys. (Do not know what models or years, etc.) The Harleys had so many mechanical problems we had to abandon the hopes of making the ride in time and came home. As the old saying goes: Mechanics ride Harleys, riders ride Hondas. 0 -
Honda's over Harleys in my book and Kawasaki's over all but if you people want a raw dog crusier that runs like a scalded dog when it needs to then here you go.Not a stock Harley made that is as reliable or that can keep up with this bike in a straight line.Not even a VROD or heavily modified Harley.These things are pure fire breathers.THE MAD MAX. 0 -

Not to get off the subject but check out this Turbocharged Mustang trying to run with this Kawasaki ZX-10R Ninja(which is to this day the fastest accelerating bike I have ever been on).The Stang doesnt do to bad when the bike takes it easy on him but when he lays it down that Mustang is a memory...lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tX3T-pnOqBk0
