  Mark Martin should be the winner. Caution flag should have been up as soon as the wreck occurred---Martin was leading. Any other time in the race the caution flag was up without any hesitation. Bad call----Nascar has more problems than the race teams. Seems they make different rules/calls during a race. To hell with NASCAR!

  Have to agree ben. The commentators said a number of times during the red flag that if the race went yellow it was over. As you said that a wreck like that any other time would have call a yellow right away. It was said that "well, it was all behind the leaders". No matter, rules are rules. NASCAR has flattened off in popularity. They better be careful or they will go down the tubes like IRL.

  I really couldn't care less who won it... Martin said after the race that by the time he saw Harvick coming, he was all out of gas pedal. No more to squeeze out of it. Harvick did fairly well.

  I watched the race on Direct-TV. As an enticement they had the "Hot Pass" for the Daytona race free to their subscribers. I thought it would be a great way to watch the race, but there were too many commercials. Every four to five minutes they had adds running, and the race would be put in a smaller view on the bottom of the screen. The announcers were talking too much, and whenever the drivers and crew would talk, the announcers talked over them. They rarely showed the inside camera views of the drivers during the race, and Direct-TV touted this as a plus for the new Hot-Pass. If this is what the Hot-Pass is going to be like all the time there is no way I will subscribe to it.
  
  If you watched the race on Fox you caught more of the action.
  
  Tony Stewart diffidently had the better car, but I guess it just wasn't his day.
  
  Martin should have won under yellow, but Harvick had the faster car in the end.
