    Just goes to show that Reps from Mass, Virginia, NY & Kalifornia want to control what YOU are able to own, and they think they speak for their constituents so loudly that they can tell YOU what is right and wrong with America.
    The only reps from Western states are that ninny from Texas that hates all white people, the mullet from Colorado that thinks Columbine was a wakeup call, and that race-baiting P.O.S. from Arizona who thinks that "his" people are going to take over "Aztlan".

    These idiots need to be chastised by citizens from their districts for wanting to reopen that nasty can of worms the Klintons stuck us with!

    I dont stand on soapboxs:IMHO

    We, meaning every citizen, should know that this bill will basicly gut the American public from owning a firearm forever.
    With the powers it gives the Atty General to create and add anything they wish to, the "prohibited weapons list" based on looks, and knee jerk politics.

    If it passes we will truly become "subjects" of the state.

    I think most Dempcrats realize that this issue has the potential to come back to haunt them like it has in the past.

    I disagree. With Pelosi running the show and the feeling among dems that they have a free ride to the white house, they believe they can force anything they want down the throats of the backpeddaling republicans. I'm telling you do NOT take this lightly. This is not like the bill advanced during the Clinton years when the republicans held a wide majority in the house.

    I'm not saying not to be worried about it, all I'm saying is that if I had to bet money one way or the other, I'd bet on this not making it to a floor vote. The "gun show loophole" bill got introduced before this one and it is still bouncing around committees. Most bills that are introduced in Congress get killed in Committee, relatively few bills actually make it to a floor vote. A million things could happen to this bill in committee, the Blue Dogs might squash it or the Republicans might add a bunch of crap to it to make it no longer appealing to McCarthy, etc.

    Moran is a Democratic Dirtbag; nobody is going to change him. [:(!]

    He served as deputy mayor of Alexandria, Virginia, from 1982 to 1984, when he resigned as part of a nolo contendre plea bargain to a misdemeanor conflict of interest charge, which courts later erased.

    During his time in the House, Moran has been involved in a few controversies related to personal financial dealings with lobbyists and business interests.     He is a cosponsor of legislation to provide the District of Columbia with voting representation(HR 2043).

    Moran appeared on The Colbert Report as part of the series Better Know a District. During the appearance he described himself as "gentle," but later punched Colbert in the face after Colbert called Moran a "coward."

    Be careful some of you all. Just because your representative isn't listed as a cosponsor to this bill does not mean they won't vote in favor of it if it hits the floor. Make sure you contact them to be sure where they stand.

    Isakson and Chambliss both wrote me back and said they were not in support of anything that threatens our 2nd Amendment rights. God, I'm glad to be a Georgia boy!
