    Actually, this was a closure vote to stop amendments - the REAL closure vote will be on Thursday.

    ... wait until Thursday ... I'll bet things will change ... lots of pressure by
    constituents.

    Now there will be 30 hours of debate ... then the vote Thursday.

    Prettty much everyone agrees that it's not going to psss the House -
    not even close.

    This bill is an outrage. An act against the interests of taxpaying citizens of the United States of America! And should have never been considered in the first place! It is so flawed that it cannot and will not ever be enforced!
    (kind of like the highly touted "border fence" that was never funded)
    We are now seeing key republicans including a "lame duck" president(still love,worship,and respect him?) happily cuddling up with fat Teddy and the supposedly despised "loony left" While we set contentedly back and let it happen! Guns are next on their agenda! And it will be rammed down our throats exactly the way this "amnesty for criminals" bill is being done! Our elected officals no longer fear the electorate! WHY?
    At least the fools will be out of office soon! The so called "hispanic" vote that they so desperately want will go to "hispanic" politicans! NOT to the traitors that have sold us out to them!
    Anybody starting to get a clue yet?

    The house is also preparing to make a staement to the Senate,.......could be as early as today, rejecting the Senate bill.
    In other words, they are letting them know that they are wasting their time, as it will not pass the House.
    Hope what I heard on the radio is true![8D]

    If people e-mail and call their Congressmen like they did to their Senators this bill will NEVER pass the House. Congressman have to be relected every 2 years unlike 6 years for Senators and they get scared real fast.

    What gets me is that in poll after poll after poll, 80% of the country is against amnesty.

    This is a case of the PTB knowing better than we do. We should shut up, bend over and grab our ankles becuase it is good for us. We should be greatful that our Senators are at least using Vaseline.

    Its a simple case of coporate money. If illegals are truly outlawed, all of these rich coporate types that exploit them will have to start paying a wage that an American worker can make a living at, then they couldn't pay off our elected leaders as well.

    It cant work,does any one think that when all these illegals who work for very low wages are going to stay in those jobs once they are legal they will want more and the whole thing will start again with more illegals.Just a vicious circle.When I came to this country in 1990 the going rate for under the table(cash) in the bay area of san francisco was $15 to $20 an hour.Most of the illegals were from the UK.When the boom started back Ireland a lot of Irish went back.Now the illegals are maily mexican and there are advertsin the san francisco chronicle for construction workers at $10.And that is legal work with taxes taken out.

    It is corporate money and special interest groups that run things in DC now. The Politian's are not taking our desires into consideration. They are lining their pockets with special interest & corporate money at the risk of our children's future. It is time everyone kicked the Democratic and Republican parties to the curve, and vote independent. But, whatever you do don't vote for Blumberg.
