C&R License address change question?
I recently had an offer on my house and will be moving in the next 5-6 weeks. I sent the Chief,FFLC in Atlanta, GA. a copy of my current license along with a letter explaining my change of address. Is there anything else I need to do or is that it? Thanks in advance.

I called the 800 number of the C&R department, and a very nice woman of a certain age either did the change of address over the phone, or cleared up an uncertainty I had regarding the correct form. 0 -
You'll need to send them a form 5300.38 - Application for Amended Federal Firearms License also. Go to the BATFE website: http://www.atf.treas.gov/index.htm
You'll find the info you need there. I'm pretty sure you can click on "forms" and get a pdf downloadable copy.0 -

I read that form. It looks like it is only for a FFL business license. I don't see anything about a C&R license on it.0 -

The form is for applying for a new license for a "firearms business or activity" at a different address than that on the present license.
Look at the form carefully - line 16 says "Hours of Operation of Licensee's Business (Not Applicable for Collectors).
Scroll down to the instructions. In the first and second paragraphs and point #1 mention is made of a "firearms business or activity."
I know you have to do this - I recently moved and had to go through the process, that's why I remembered the form number. You'll also need to submit a form certifying that you are a US citizen along with it.0
