Does Nascar promote parity because it believes it makes for more competitive racing or is Nascar's desire to increase corporate exposure to be "fair" and get as much TV time for all sponsors?
I guess it makes sense that their desire for parity is driven more by Nascar profits and sponsor exposure time even if it means a less competitive race.

anyone can drive a car that is forced to the ground by wings, with no wheel well drag, and a huge suction created under it[V], and only weighs about 1/3rd as much, but it is a whole new ball game when you are driving a BRICK that is trying to wreck itself the entire time it is in the turns.

Took this at last years Daytona 500. Amazing how close they can run at 180+ mph.

Dont all of you NASCAR fans just love the "caution for DEBRIS" on the track during the last final laps of the race? Seems to happen every time they need a caution for fuel. During the last caution at the Atlanta race the camera men never showed the DEBRIS. NASCAR and Professional Wrestling are the only two real sports left. The rest of them are all fake. LOL 0 -

I raced dirt track cars for 6 years. We never had a caution for DEBRIS. Hell, a car could be stuck in the wall in turn 4 and they hardly ever threw a caution flag. 0 -
Yeah, 43 3500-pound full-bodied cars going round and round at 190mph six inches apart. Boring. 0
