if you are using limewire to DL your songs follow the instructions below: (i gotta open my limewire(im using version 4.9), hold on..)

    1. click on the library tab (it goes..search, monitor, then library)

    2. click the EXPLORE folder..roughly halfway down the screen...left side.

    3. when that folder opens, it will show you EVERY song that was downloaded.

    4. RIGHT click on the song, then you should see an option that says "Open with"

    5. at that point, select Itunes..and wa-la.

itunes will automatically open, and insert/play the song. if you have itunes already open..then the song will just start playing.

now for your issue of deleting/losing songs. limewire will store all the songs you ever downloaded, even if you erase them from itunes. simply follow the above directions and you should be good.

also, if the song were deleted while the ipos was plugged into the USB (to charge) there would be a seperate "list of songs" on itunes. after you unplug the songs, the "master" list re-appears. i do this method all the time to change songs around.

hope this KINDA helps [B)], im not sure how else to explain...good luck and tell us if and when you get stuck again..[:D]

I really appreciate the help you guys. I have been avoiding learning any of this. I have several thingamajigs here...but since they have been taken over by my oldest I just never messed with them. Since this is for the less-computer-savy daughter I have been going nuts trying to help her...and involving the older one is like having the dog groom your cat (not gonna be pretty.)

I will give this a try. I am running super late so I will be taking my laptop (if I can find it in my older girl's room!) to work with me. Wish me luck and I hope I don't end up putting either of these devices in the shoot tube!

Hobby guy....I can so relate to the expenses adding onto things you bought. Meet Huggy Bear (the $1,000 Pomerainian...after all the various cords and items he has chewed up.)
