    Psalm 23
    A Psalm of David.

23:1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
23:2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
23:3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
23:5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever

Im fighting to reach a hundred...

Tragic indeed. May God bless this family.

I hope also that the DA doesn't go after your friend, the father, if it is determined that the gun used was left unsecured.

Sorry to hear about this. Its too bad kids can get so depressed that they will resort to taking their own lives.

I feel sorry for the parents. Their questions will never be answered.

That is a real shame for all.

I don't believe that the student realized the -Finality- of his own acts by taking his life.

Sadness for all in your community.

I stopped by and visited with the boy's father this afternoon. He seemed strangely unaffected, but I believe he was still in the denial stage. The reality will hit home.

Both parents took my CHL class several years ago. They subsequently split up and mom moved some distance away.

I saw that in the online Houston Chronicle earlier, sad news indeed. If only they would realize it is a permanent solution to a temporary problem, blessings sent to the family and community.

Truly and terribly tragic. Sad. Very sad. This young man had everything to live for but he obviously was so deeply troubled that he could not see it. I will say a prayer for this young man and his loved ones.

As a parent of two now-grown-up daughters, I often ask myself what is encouraging the youth and future of America to make such choices?

I suspect this kid got one of his dad's guns from home. Dad is a gun enthusiast and shooter, and he taught his kids to shoot and respect firearms. He probably left guns unsecured at home, trusting his kids to leave them alone. Lots of people do it that way. I just couldn't though.
