Force 10 is an alright movie, but does a thorough chop-job on the novel.
Guns of Navarone actually seems to improve going from novel to movie (I believe that MacLean had input input in the changes, the changes were too good to have been made by Hollywood types)
Force Ten seems to be missing something, at least for someone who read the novel first.
I rarther enjoyed reading HMS Ulysses, kind of upset that there is no film adaptation...0 -
"Where Eagles Dare" is my favorite MacLean book that was made into a movie. Clint Eastwood was pretty young in this one. I think it was filmed in the alps and has great scenery. 0 -
