Many (if not most) of us took an oath to defend the constitution against ALL enimies forign and DOMESTIC!

When they discharged me they never asked me to take that oath back! And that oath means as much to me today (if not more) as it did then!

My question is how many of you are willing to still uphold that oath????????????

    I like ECC's quote, which with you started this thread. As we become vets, and as we age, the opportunities become fewer but the willingness remains. I agree with those posters who state we will have some hard times ahead, domestically, and us old fart veterans and shooter-types may find ourselves in a new role. My goal is to maximize ammo reserves in 08.

    My first oath to duty was 3 March 1987 ... officially retired 1 Sep 2007. My son, a fourth generation military family, made his 28 Jun 2007. I agree with Sarge, it is a way of life ... and quite the honor and privilege to serve. [^]
