booger Trying Keeping Up With Zulu7
Oddly enough Zulu7 and I bought the same car almost on the same day! If it's good enough for him, well by damn I need one too.
This is mine, a couple years older than Zulu's, mine is a 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis. Definitely an old guy car in a damn near gay color but I like the big car V8 rear wheel drive and it was a clean bargain @ $5,500. It comes with a walker and some Depends in the trunk.
I have already hooked up my redneck alarm system.[:D][:D][:D]

I get depressed every time I drive mine, because I know that sooner or later I'm going to reach my destination, and I'm going to have to shut it off and get out. It's that much of a joy to drive.0 -

I remember my Crown Vic, it was a 1987. Rust free, except the previous owner rubbed both sides of the car against guard rails(by rubbed, I mean both rear doors had to be kicked open from the inside). Nice car, it got 25 mpg on the highway at 65, too bad the transmission went out(should've replaced it). The memories. 0 -

Hehe, I knew we'd take some grief.
I'm 44 but decided to skip the mid-life pony tail Harley Davidson Corvette thing and go straight for cheap & easy cruising. I've got four vehicles here and one in storage in Tennessee. 2001 Xterra, 1997 Dodge 4x4 manual transmission, 1992 Camry, 1999 Mercury and a 1968 New Yorker.
Although the Camry gets 37 MPG amd runs strong with cold air at 227000 miles, I may turn it into a swamp buggy to replace the Corolla swamp buggy I sold to a buddy.
I think I'll drive an older Ferrari when retired. Naturally whatever the least popular model will be the one priced right. Maybe the testarossa will loose it's flavor in 20 years. The 512's keep going up.[:(]0 -
I don't get the granny car crap,
most of the people who call large American sedans granny cars drive a Camry of Accord [xx(]
In my book, large, comfortable, powerful and American trumps small, uncomfortable, underpowered and Japanese any day of the week0 -

When you guys do get older you can just swap out the steering wheel to the much larger geriatric size and stay in the far left lane traveling 15 mph under the speed limit with the blinker on at all times. 0 -

Amen to that.
I would pick one of these rides over a smaller piece of siht anytime.
The big rear wheel drive car is my first choice after a pickup.0
