Didn't see a sunset provision
Also includes provision saying that attny general has the descreation to ban any "non-sporting weapon" like ANY that have been purchased by a LE agency or the military.
That is pretty much everthing[:(!]md 10 SW, ar-15, m-anything, 870, rem 700, kimber target rifle, mk II ruger?!
This bill is in the first stage of the legislative process where the bill is considered in committee and may undergo significant changes in markup sessions. The bill has been referred to the following committees:
House Judiciary
Lets hope it does not get out of commitee

After the so-called "assault weapons ban" becomes effective, the "sniper rifle" is next and yes that will include the Lee Enfields. Soon we will have nothing but .22 revolvers.0 -
I think the bottom line is to also take away that .22 revolver. Then,
using rocks and clubs against the perps, we slowly get our weapons
back. Hopefully we'll have a "real" government by then. You know the
one, "a government for the people, by the people". Not these mindless

HR stands for "House of Representatives". I understand that before it can become law, the Senate has to also offer a matching bill and both House and Senate vote it in as a bill and then it goes to the president to be signed. President can sign it and it becomes law, veto it and House and Senate get it back or president can just let it sit on his desk and after 10 days or so it automatically becomes law.
I would be more worried (I am worried BTW) if this was a Senate bill. Because the House offers a lot of silly bills that never are taken seriuously. When the Senate offers a bill it is usually a bill that gets serious consideration.0
