He must not have many friends if he lives in LA and can't find weed except to steal it.

The neighbor with the prescription is an idiot for letting anybody know that he has a legal source of marijuana. Have you ever seen the co-ops where they sell the stuff to people with prescriptions? They're fortified like bunkers with several armed guards and lots of bullet-proof glass and bars.

How exactly is that a stupid law, btw? Seems that if I was dying of cancer, I'd be smoking myself silly if I thought it'd make me feel any better.

Its a stupid law because it conflicts with federal law. When state laws conflict with federal laws.... the federal laws win.

Thats not to mention the farse it has become. In one year there has been a 1000% increase in the medical weed clinics in LA. The doctors will charge a "patient" $200.00 to $300.00 for a "visit" where the patient says he has a headache and is given a prescription without any exam at all. He then boogies on down to the weed store to buy his weed.

The feds just raided one of the clinics about 2 days ago and shut it down. There will probably be more of those raids.

It's a shame. But you've got to figure that sort of thing is going to happen when you add bureaucracy to something that's already occurring. Think Prohibition. They should just legalize the damn stuff if they're serious about helping people who have medical need for it. Doing anything else is going to just feed into the corrupt quagmire of the War on Drugs.

I suppose that if the kids were breaking in to steal the person's morphine that would make it better?

The only thing I see wrong with this picture is the person had to resort to using a pellet gun.

IMHO, marijuana, gambling and prostitution should be legalized, taxed, licensed, controlled, regulated, inspected, fined, etc. just like any legitimate business.

The time, manpower and money that is wasted on trying to curtail these three endeavors could be put to much better use elsewhere.

The federal drug laws, like most federal laws, are unConstitutional. Only those few powers specifically granted to the Federal Gov't. by the Constitution shall apply. All other authority is reserved for the States.

Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
