    I am sorry to hear about your loss. I was a three packer but quit in 1982.

    Sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. I'm still smoking a pack and a half a day. Addiction sucks, I need to quit.

    I quit 7 years ago,, best thing I ever did. After about 6 months I got close to some friends that still smoked and had to get away from them, the stunk like an ashtray. I didnt realize when I smoked how obnoxious it was to others..[:0]

    My father died from emphysema caused by smoking. I called my mother to tell her (they were divorced) & she told me that she had just that moment gotten back from the hospital & that my uncle had just died from throat cancer caused by smoking.
