other gun auction sites must be for fools
I've been doing business (buying/selling) on GunBroker since October of 2001. It's quite clear that most of the sellers here are honest and realistic with their pricing. Sure, there will always be some nitwit that will ask unrealistic prices for their common firearms. Some people are simply less intelligent than others, so I just laugh and know that they won't be around for long. Especially if they're relying on making ends meet from their sales. Without giving credit where credit is not due, I'm absolutely "stupified" by what some of the rat b*stard rip-off artists sellers are seeking for their firearms on those other sites. Now I know why my loyalty remains here. With that said, thank you loyal and honest sellers of GunBroker! You're obviously a special breed. [^]

the reason some auctions are amazingly high is deep down in the sellers heart, theyre afraid to let something go in true auction style. those that can afford penny auctions do so because if they lose out here and there, they can recoop it one way or another. why? they stock guns in an inventory and buy at wholesale. johnny selling his gramps gun cant. today, most auctions are just retailers making ends meat.
in the old days when retailers had stores and gun shows, we the little guys were able to have a special media that worked well for us. no ffl crap, simple deals, no high prices...just auction it, ups it, and move on. matter of fact, auction sites were FREE. yes, even this one was. but then, those greedy penny pinching full retail ripoff artists hogged it all and well, you have what you have presently. so, in order to pay for all these new rules and fees and laws, the days of good deals is over, especially for the little guys, because in order to pay for it, the cost is past on to the bidder. its not just the other sites, its everywhere. there is no right or wrong,
