My Mom's not feeling well *** UPDATE ***
Got news this morning that my mom, who is in her mid-80's and lives in New York, was rushed to the hospital early this morning with apparent heart and breathing difficulties. Right now, it's a wait-see, listen for the phone type of thing for us here in AZ right now. A kind thought or prayer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
UPDATE:
First, let me say thanks for your prayers and kind wishes. They obviously helped her out and I'm grateful for my "family" here on GB.
I spoke with her very briefly over the phone (she's been admiited and finally got a room) a short time ago and she says she's doing and feeling better. No heart attack. No abnormalities but they feel that her episode is medication-related.
From what I gather in this brief conversation, she recently received injections for her macular degeneration and in recent days, those same injections made headline news elsewhere for being somehow linked to causing strokes and other issues.
She's extremely weak right now but she was very proud that she managed to get up and make it to and from the bathroom all by herself. So I'll take that as a big plus. We didn't chat long but my sister and daughters are there and they reassure me that she's doing much better. So, I'll relax a bit now. Been a frustrating day waiting for news on her condition but it was apparently worth it.
Again, I say thanks to you for your kindness and for your prayers. God bless. Don't forget to call your mom and dad and tell them you love them.

Glad she's feeling and doing better. Do the injections for the macular degeneration help and does she have the wet or dry kind? My 80 yearold mother also has macular and she is not doing well with it as it is the dry kind.0 -
Thank you for the update on your Mom, Slow_Hand...and the GOOD NEWS! Hopefully, her recovery will continue and her quality of life renewed.
Iv'e been thinking about my Mom this week. She died 10 years ago, and we buried her in a beautiful cemetery of her choice in Texas. She was buried on the 2nd of February...chilly, windy, and overcast it was.
Hopefully you can see your Mom again soon to spend more time with her.0 -
