    It's a house of cards anyway. I'm no financial expert, but what happens when one of the world players says: "I will no longer accept paper or credits, I want durable goods or precious metals in exchange for my xxxxxx"

    Being a service orientated country instead of a goods producing country would seem to put you up shiite creek without even a canoe.
